I went out shopping this morning--and of course, by morning I mean about 4 or 5 in the afternoon. I just needed a few household item, and candy. Got in my car, drove to Giant Eagle, walked around and picked up my items. This was all just a regular errands trip until I got to the soap aisle. I looked around at all of the slightly green, or slightly yellow, or faintly cream package, all labeled as miscellaneous generic soap smell. "How appealing," I thought to myself. On the verge of folding under and just reaching out my hand to grab any-old box without even so much as glancing over at its label, I saw, out of the corner of my eye, the most elusive, yet illustrious red box, labeled "Cranberry Anti-Oxidant Soap". At first it seemed like it was just flare, "How fast does my skin actually oxidize?... Oh well, it's eye-catching--at least the design team was awake." It was placed in the very bottom right corner of the soap section, right where the aisle shifts to feminine hygiene products. I picked up a box and walked to the checkout.

I drove home that evening; it was much later now--or at least that is how it felt, seeing as it is dark by 5:20 every day now. I got up to my room, and went about putting they days booty away. As I ripped through the flimsy red cellophane, a smell wafted over my nostrils, and I felt myself getting excited, like a 6 year old on Christmas morning, taking his first peak at the corner of the box of his brand new favourite toy--a smell so grand that it made me excited for the following morning, when I would get to wake up and rub my body clean with this playful concoction. Immediately I though, "This is my soap; it must have been made especially for me by whatever elves the Henkel Corporation employs, and kissed by the rainbow right before being packaged and shipped off to my local grocery store."

I could not resist. I immediately ripped through the paper packaging and ran into the shower. I now smell like jellybeanspringflowersugarcandyraindrops, and I am loving it.
